... I wonder.

If you feel the need for a change of scenery, should you sacrifice a good job with a potential future when you have no formal education?

My gut instinct tells me to stay still for awhile... But my heart tells me I need to move on. Both the last jobs I quit, my gut AND my heart told me to move on... And I made wise choices in the end, because every time I ended up in a better position than I was before I left, even though I had a lot of problems in the transitions...

But I've had the urge for about 5-6 months now to just get in my car and not look back... Just figure it all out from there. I've figured it out before, and in theory I should be able to again... But I have dreams for the future and having the ability to provide for a family is included in those dreams. This job... This career... It's hard for me to walk away from. I see so much potential here for a solid, steady future. I do enjoy the people I work with and I don't hate what I do, though it's certainly not a passion of mine either.

I'm all about taking risks, taking a gamble... But I just feel like the odds would be against me at this point were I to try. I think the stability I'd be giving up is important right now in my life... Because through whatever emotional turmoil I awkwardly stroll, I have a place to ground myself... I come to work, Monday - Friday, 7-5... Every week. It's always the same, it's always there... and the pay... well the pay isn't bad at all.

*shrug* This was more for my own perspective than to inform anyone else or ask for advice. I don't need advice, I just need to get my thoughts out in front of me. I think at this point, I need to sit still for awhile longer. At least, until I get out of all my debt, including my car payments... and then, perhaps... we shall see where I stand.
